bergmanu Platinum Member Joined: 4/28/2015 Last visit: 11/12/2024 Posts: 3345 Rating: (379)	I tried to read out some values from a LOGO8!. This works fine! All data of the LOGO! are stored in "DB1". The memory area where the different data types (Inputs, Outpust, MemoryBits) are stored depends on the LOGO! version. You can find the addresses within the “LOGO!Soft Comfort” in the Online Help under “Tools -> Parameter VM Mapping” I attached a screenshot with the node-red configuration of a LOGO8!. AutoDoc1955b Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Just a note of thanks to TheBreadboardCA for the full text link regarding Mosquitto installation for the Siemens IoT2000 series. I followed (only the Mosquitto parts) the written procedures and was rewarded with a working MQTT broker. I started with Siemens example OS 2.1.2 so NodeRED was already there. I now have all the pieces in place to make the SIoT2K into an IoT hub. I suppose I'll install a database somewhere along the line as well. Anything interesting I do will be documented here.

SmartFactory Regular Member Joined: 10/25/2016 Last visit: 12/15/2022 Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	I cannot get the Modbus module to work with Node Red, it seems its tested with version 4.7 of Node but I only have version 4.2 with the latest example image. Could you please show me how to upgrade my version of Node? I have tried upgrading myself but I keep getting illegal instruction errors I think its due to the cpu config for the version I downloaded. I am using an IOT 2040. Kind Regards, Frank.

The 'Illegal Instruction' error occurs when your npm package installation comes with a pre-compiled binary that isn't suitable for IOT2000's processor architecture. Try adding the '--build-from-source' when you run npm. This may take ages but should work.
