I was able to access the drives on this machine until recently but our automation vendor has made changes and I was no longer able to open the drives with Starter v.  5.1  - it told me to update to version 5.3.

After downloading the files and transferring them to the PG (it is not allowed to go on the internet) I installed Starter v. 5.3 (after first letting it uninstall v. 5.1).

After the installation of the first "CD" I could not see any more setup files so I tried opening the project with the drives again but now I am getting a lot of error messages.

What do I need to install to be able to open the drives again and check the parameters and alarms / alarm history?

I did as suggested and I think it helped. Now I am (at least initially) only getting the error that I need to install CFC V9.0 SP2 or higher.

Where do I get this?

you must extract all 3 volumes to the same directory and start then the setup and select all SSP to install

CFC should be installed with starter if you activate the checkbox for it during the setup.

you can search in the starter folders for the cfc setup and try to install it from there

I thought I marked everything for installation when I installed it - I have just both searched in the installation files and started a new installation but I do not see any CFC?

When I open one of the drives (actually it opens the whole "starter project" of the full Simatic Manager project I am getting the pop-up I posted earlier about needing a newer CFC.

I do not see anything "clickable" (except the option to accept the error) and I also see no path shown?
