Hi everyone,

we built a dashboard with the IE Flow Creator. It uses the login of the edge device. After a while the user automatically gets logged off and the dashboard is not longer available. Is there a way to prevent the auto logout or to allow using the dashboard without being logged in?

Which version of FC are you using?

When the session expires in FC, do you also have to login again to IED or just FC?

Regarding the dashboard, I have tried to access it without being logged in using the URL https:<ied_ip>/ui and seems to work.

UPDATE

 I have just seen that there is a file session.json in FC volumes and there is a property called "expires" in UNIX epoch format. I have converted it to date and time and it seems as if the session should last for 7 days as UNIX epoch converter indicated. 

I suggest have a look at that file and convert the timestamp to date and time.

I think it's not a problem of the FC, but with IED.

If I'm not logged in to IED I am not able to open the dashboard. Is there a way to allow using the FC dashboard without being logged in to IED?

Hi, Martin here. I am the "key-user" who will initially work with the system/dashboard and roll it out in our company.

Some details:

When I was not logged in before and i call https://<server-ip>/ui the results is "503 SERVICE UNAVAILABLE"

calling https://<server-ip>/sfc-root/ui returns "401 UNAUTHORIZED"

Then I call https://<server-ip>/ and log in with credential the following happens:

I see the page https://<server-ip>//device/edge/app/apps as expected..

again https://<server-ip>/ui > "503 SERVICE UNAVAILABLE"

https://<server-ip>/sfc-root/ui > shows the desired dashboard

but the browser shos as URL:

https://<server-ip>/ui/#!/0?socketid=<xxxxxxxxxxxxx random stuff>

Now for the sessions.json in home/edge/sim-edge-data/sim-edge-platform-node-red:

i find "expires":1657104747887 converted to human readable is

Hello all,

an Edge Device logs out automatically after 12 hours. After that, the dashboard within the Flow Creator is not reachable any more.

You can not prevent the Edge Device from logging out, since it is a security feature.

If you only logout from the Flow Creator, but still are logged in into the Edge Device, you can also access the dashboard via this URL:

https:<ied_ip>/ui

Currently there is an issue when using the latest Flow Creator version V1.3.9. The embedded dashboard link is broken and you have to use this URL to reach the dashboard:

https:<ied_ip>/sfc-root/ui
