I guess it will mostly depends on the use case. The main pro that the PG has from my POV are the peripherals, is it has a MPI/PROFIBUS port, a SIMATIC Memory Card  and Mutimedia Card reader and you can also order it with some S5 option. Also you will avoid compatibility issue between the operating system version and the SIMATIC software such TIA Portal as the OS version delivered are already released and tested.

Can be used PG used for another SW like KUKA WorkVisual, Festa AutomationStudio and another softwares for keyence and cognex devices?

Hi Maherotti,

To be honest I've never use that software, but I guess there should be no issue if you meet the HW and SW requirements each software needs (RAM, Operating system version, etc..)
