External fault Ack for G120P-1.5/35B

I just need to verify that I can before I present this option to a costumer. I found no obvious mention of it in the manual, but you can configure one of the two Binary inputs as you wish, including reseting alarms on the VFD when triggered right from an external source right? Sorry for the dumb question, and thanks for any help in advance, cheers.

Are you thinking of a pushbutton or PLC dig out to ack the VFD alarm? If so, look in the control options for your specific VFD model, like fieldbus, local terminals, front panel user interface. Then look for the binary connector options for alarm ack which for fieldbus will default to the incoming message for fault ack. If it can be reassigned to a DI, there's your answer. During commissioning you can use macros/default settings to assign defined functions to in- and outputs as a default. For G120P CU230P-2 you can find a description in chapter 4.6.6 of the operating instruction manual. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109818090 Of course you can simply connect parameter p2103 to the desired digital input parameter as 0_Einstein mentioned, see attachment.
