Hello, 

I'm having trouble connecting my S7-1200 PLC (with modules and sensors) to a Siemens Edge Device.

Within Edge Management I use the "Databus" application to connect my PLC. It seems to be successful but the green dot turns red after 1 minute indicating: connection status: bad (first image attached).

Similarly, if I go to the S7 Connector app and add the topic to monitor (i.e. my PLC with its tags) ie/d/j/simatic/v1/s7c1/dp/r/PLC_SLIM/default and monitor it I get a inactive state (second image attached).

How can I solve it?

The edge device is on the network at the IP address 10.20x.14x.7 and the PLC has the address 10.20x.14x.8

It is not easy to diagnose this issue. More information should be needed. 

However, I recommend you to update every app and IED-OS to its last version, to avoid problems solved with last versions. Also, you can check in the manual if you have installed all the apps that you for using S7 connector. You can find the latest version of the S7 connector manual in this link .

Then, check also the Databus configuration regarding the topic structure that it needs to follow.

Finally, if problem persists, I recommend you to create a Service Request to go deeper into your issue.
