Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to install the Image Example V1.4 on an Advanced FS:09, since it has the Insdustrial OS V3.2.3 image preinstalled.

I've made it boot from the MicroSD where the V1.4 Example Image is and the Red Stat LED comes out.

Yes it is possible to install Example Image 1.4 on IOT2050 (Basic/Advanced/M.2/SM). This requires the FW version 1.4. You can download the latest version on our Download Page.

If you already using the FW 1.4 then the red status LED indicates an issue with the boot process. Please make sure the Example Image was correctly written on the SD-Card, verify that the SD Card is properly formatted and in good condition and check the boot order.

If you still have issues you can also try to connect a serial adapter to get detailed boot messages.

The firmware that the IOT has is 1.3.1

I got errors.

First it asked me to install python3 progess, I have installed the package.

after updating the firmware I get errors. I attach a capture so you can see it.

I am installing the firmware by booting the OS from the MMC.

I don't understand what the problem is. any idea

Due to the language I can't identify everything perfect but it looks like there is an error with the BUILD_ID.

As python3 is required for the update we recommend you the following steps:

1. Install python3 manually before performing the FW update

2. Use the FW installer tool from IOT2050_Firmware_Update_Files_V1.3.1.zip for the FW update to 1.4

Thank you very much for your reply.

I tried several times to install Python3, even with the fresh OS installed on the eMMC.

I see something strange because if I ask the Python3 version I have it says:

Python 3.9.2

I've thought about updating it to 3.11, I'm following these directions:

looks like you have an error while processing a package related to the Python3 update. Maybe try to fix these broken dependencies first:

apt-get clean

apt-get update

apt-get install -f

The "-f" flag stands for "fix-broken", it attempts to fix any broken dependencies on your system. Then I would try to reconfigure the packages and to remove the problematic package:

dpkg --configure -a

apt-get remove --purge python3-update-manager

After these steps try reinstalling the package:

apt-get install python3-update-manager
