INS Gold Member Joined: 4/6/2006 Last visit: 11/21/2025 Posts: 604 Rating: (56)	Hi Max, I think it's a plugged in module but the best way to get this repaired is to send it over to Siemens Repair Centre to get it repaired or to request your local Siemens or it's possible to order this as a specific Field PG spare-part. This CP6511 is not exactly the same as the one you can order by Siemens as a regular product I think since that's a PCI version.

I agree with INS that you're better off sending the FieldPG to a Siemens Repair Centre or buy a new one, which is very adviseable when using e.g. WinCC flexible.

JMJ Posts: 487 Rating: (45)	I have not done this on field PG, but in good old days as a Siemens empolyee, we had replaced MPI/DP port modules of PG720/740 and it was not a regular card that you can order from Siemens, it was a submodule on the motherboard. We had it internally available from Siemens repair center. Now Filed PG being even more compact, it should either be on the mother board itself or a submodule. So I thinkthe only way is to send it to Siemens repair center.
