upgrade iot2050 nodejs

Dineshrunner93 Regular Member Joined: 10/28/2017 Last visit: 4/22/2024 Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	hi I have installed mdb-reader(npm install mdb-reader) in the IOT2050 device.But it appears some features dont seem to be working.I have highlighted this issue in node Red forum(https://discourse.nodered.org/t/reading-a-mdb-file/65659/16) and it was suggested to update my nodeJs.The mdb-reader is compatible with v14.(https://www.npmjs.com/package/mdb-reader) My current version is v12(image file 1.2.1) Is it possible to update both nodeJs and nodeRed Please advice Thank you

apastore Regular Expert Joined: 10/22/2020 Last visit: 10/1/2024 Posts: 169 Rating: (6)	Hello assuming that you are using the Example Image, it is possible to update the versions of NodeJS and NodeRED: npm install -g npm@14.0 npm install -g --unsafe-perm node-red However, please keep in mind that the newer versions may be incompatible with the mraa library adapted for the IOT2050 respectively the NodeRED modules for it. BR
