Dear All,

Recently I faced some issue at one site, 6RA70 was tripped on F040 fault which I am not able to reset.

This fault occurs when drive is powered off without acknowledging active fault.

What I checked,

r947.01 - 40 

r947.02 to r947.06 - 0 - this is strange as it shows there is no current active fault

r949.01 - 40 (this should be fault causing F040 but its showing 40 itself)

CUD is already replaced, parameter factory reset also tried without any luck.

What I feel is, F040 was active and client tried power switching off and on again so for this case, F040 was active fault so r949 is also showing 40. Fault acknowledgement tried several times so fault memory is full with fault 40 only. In this case drive is gone to infinity loop where f40 causing f40 which can not be resetted.

Any idea?

Just to add - before this fault, we found fuse of the power board was blown so same was replaced and then all this f40 appeared.

Please check r047.002, .003 values whether any fault number is displayed in it. 

Please set P820.07 = 40 & check if the fault gets acknowledge. 

Please check supply voltages as below.

CUD1 X174:2 & X174:1 = P10

X174:3 & X174:1 = N10

A2 card terminal XS 106 = 24 V DC.

If above voltages are correct you need to either replace EEPROM C98043-A7009 or drive.
