Extended download to device (0123:000114) Error

When I try to download to the device and select "connection to interface/subnet:" to PN/IE_1 and start searching for devices I get an error. The attached image shows the full error. But what I think is the important part of the message: "The selected PG/PC interface is currently be used for an online connection. Subnets can therefore not be allocated to the selected PG/PC interface." I am trying to connect via a remote computer. I am able to go online with the PLC at an adjacent IP address and I know that I have been able to be online with the PLC while also loading an HMI. I used to be able to do it from this remote computer so I have to assume that something changed on the computer or network's end. I just have no clue what. This error does go away when I go offline with the PLC but my HMI doesn't show up after a search even though I can ping it. Attachment Siemens PN_IE error..png (235 Downloads)

You should go offline before you load the Panel. If you are connected with a VPN then the accessible device searching will not work (and also the setting with compatible devices). There are used DCP Broadcast packages and the most routers/firewals/gateways cannot do a DCP forwarding. so this will not work.
