Hi, Dear All, If i have three PLC & each having profinet remote IO's with same network. In this case; it is possible to access any one remote station by all three plc without assinng the master or io-controller in the network. Please go through attached sheet. It shown three CPU & one IM with some IO's. Is it possible to access all IO's by three PLC on hardware level?
Thanks. AttachmentSample Arch.xlsx (146 Downloads) |

Dear Mahesh, It depends which CPUs, IMs and software (STEP7) you are using. Which IO controllers and IO devices support the following functions in STEP 7 V5.5: IRT, prioritized startup, MRP, MRPD, PROFIenergy, Shared device, I device, sochronous mode, System redundancy and Option handling? Which IO controllers and IO devices support the following functions in STEP 7 (TIA Portal): IRT, prioritized startup, MRP, MRPD, PROFIenergy, Shared device, MSI/MSO, I device, Isochronous mode, System redundancy and Option handling? In TIA Portal you have to make two different projects and is it not that easy to use shared devices and/or IO with different CPUs. That would be better in the future. |
I hope that the answer will help, if you have still questions, don't hesitate to ask me. |

Hello, i think the answer is no. How shared device works : I have modified your overview to explain this. What you need is MSI/MSO (multiple shated I/O), but this feature is only available for the new PLC and I/O Generation (S7-1500, ET200SP) and not for the Et200S or S7-300.
