recently I have a same problem for data-format. 

my program doesnt have error but the master block's status become 818c that means " 

The DATA_PTR parameter has an invalid pointer. Use a pointer to a bit memory area or a DB with the "Standard - compatible with S7-300/400" access type.". I change it to an in/out parameter but this status doesn't change. 

please help me if you know.
