Its simple, I just used my general purpose Asus WIFI router, connected PC to this router (by wifi) and also PLC was connected to router. This somehow worked for me. Maybe its suficient to put unmanaged switch inbetween - I dont know. It doesnt sound probable as both devices are on the same network just as when they connected directly to each other. But somehow this worked for me.

But since than I installed V13 TIA and reinstalled my laptop too so I dont have this issue now so I cant test any other options for you, sorry.

I have almost the same problem, I have recently installed TIA13 on a dell laptop, and it was unable to detect a new s71200 plc, 

how I could detect it was working with another laptop with TIA11, I made a program only with the configuration of the hardware, and downloaded the program (so i can assign an IP adress) then on the new laptop with TIA13 I used the PING command to detect the PLC,  but the TIA13 still unable to detect the "compatible devices"  so I just run download to the fix IP.  the download was succesfull.

I am having the same problem of accessing the PLC  through TIA V13.  I have Dell _inspiron  w7 Ultimate  64bit system.

However I have under other partition in the same laptop W7 Ultimate 32 bit  installed TIA V12.  With the same PLC and setup I do not have accessibility problem.

Has 64 /  32 bit any  relation to the problem?  

I am looking forward to the solution.

I have the same problem here.

On my laptop with W7 64bit I have V11, V12 and V13, they all were working.

Today I found I can't see any node, with any of the version.

Trying to ping the HMI works.

I installed Primary setup tool and also it doesn't see any node.

I have a virtual machine with Win XP, I installed Primary setup tool and I can see the nodes.

I have already reinstalled the lan adapter without success.

Any help please before I try to reinstall all Windows.

After trying to managing many of these problems in my work I'm arrived to conclusion that is a Window's problem or some library used by Siemens and common in all their applications.

Maybe my post is usefull, but did you have a look in "Communication settings" (type this in windows start menu) or in "Workstation Simatic" (click on the hammer near the windows clock lower right, after click on the second tab and after on the third).

Can you find nodes if you use your wireless card?

Please let us know.

This is the best temporary solution that I have found to this problem:

Go to your computers network adapter setting window. Highlight both your wifi and lan card, right click > bridge connections.

Allow your windows bridge the connections, then select the new 'bridged network adapter' when trying to find accessible nodes.

This somehow seems to work. I think that the Siemens software sees this as a completely new network adapter.

For resolve this problem you must be re install a new windows and install TIA again!
