Can we communicate S7 1200 PLC with Smartline HMI?

Using any additional, driver added or any other communication method?

Siemens has tasked Siemens India to produce a line of PLCs amd HMIs for the South-Asian market, they deveopped the S7-200 Smart CPus and the smart line HMIs. They are designed with interfaces that make connecting them to each other very easy, which is not the case with other Siemens automation families, such as the S7-1200..

Sorry, it is not possible to work witth a s7-1200 PLC and a Smartline HMI.directly. Unless you look at the alternative of  adding a CM 1241 (6ES7241-1CH32-0XB0) RS422-RS485 serial communication module to the S7-1200 and use the integrated Modbus RTU instructions of TIA Portal to program your exchanges with the HMI, which would be a lot of work.
