I have the same problem with a KTP1200 Basic 6AV2123-2MB03-0AX0.

When switching OFF/ON or End run time and starting again with the USB it keeps rebooting, but when I unplug the USB stick the HMI starts normally.

I use the USB for backup purposes but now I can not use it, otherwise the HMI keeps rebooting.

Did you find any solution?

What USB device are you using?

I'll tell you if it's an official Siemens one or not. Do you have the reference that comes in the Basic manual?:

"SIMATIC HMI Operator Panels Basic Panels 2nd Generation: Accessories"

Have you tried resetting the panel to factory settings and installing the latest available image version?

The KTP1200 Basic technical sheet also indicates that the USB must have a maximum capacity of up to 16 GB, so please make sure that you are not connecting a USB with a larger capacity.

I am using a Transcend 64GB USB (https://us.transcend-info.com/product/usb-flash-drive/jetflash-810).

I tried changing to a 4GB and 32GB USB, and it works in both cases. Only when using the 64GB the HMI is not working. 

There is something I still don't understand, I have 32 machines with the same HMI and same 64GB USB but only 11 of them work without problem with the 64GB USB. Can it also be an OS update problem?

Anyways, when changing the USB to a lower capacity one is working, I will change all of them.

The USB in use is a transcend 64GB https://us.transcend-info.com/product/usb-flash-drive/jetflash-810

The only way it is working is when changing to a lower storage capacity USB.

I have 32 machines with the same HMI and same USB but only 11 of them recognize the 64GB USB.

I need to try an OS update on the ones that don't work and check if it can also be the problem. Meanwhile, I will change the USBs to lower-capacity ones.
