I think I made a mistake and formatted the 128K Siemens MMC (6es7953-8lg20-0aa0).

Is there anyway to re-lash it again ? We also have other SIMATIC S7-300 PLCs, can I copy it from another MMC to this one ?

the official statement from Siemens is to send the MMC to factory repair. Some users were able to restore an image, but I dont have any experience with this regards so I can not and will not give any recommendations on that.

Why is the MMC no longer recognized by SIMATIC devices after it has been formatted in a third-party device?

I only recommend this if you don't have access to Siemens services, because for this you need a valid image from a similar memory. Winhex software is one of these that you can use.

I don't know if the college has access to Siemens services, all I know if they equipped the PLC laboratory with these SIMATIC S7-300 training kits, but I think the supplier is probably not Siemens directly.

I will ask our administration colleagues if they have want to contact Siemens about this or not. If not then I will proceed with using this software.
