Upgrade Honeywell PX6i via TCP/IP to S7-1516-3 PN/DP

Lonewolf!! Joined: 9/27/2023 Last visit: 10/15/2024 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello, I am currently using the Honeywell PX6i printer configured via TCP/IP to my S7-1516-3 PN/DP. As a protocol of keeping the spare, I am advised to upgrade it to PX65. Can i swap the printer with the same IP address or do i have to change the Hardware and Software address for the same in order to get the data with same length of addresses used. Kindly suggest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from Connection of printers via Ethernet to S7-1200 / S7-1500.

If the PX65 does use the same protocols, commands, lenght e.g. its possible just to swap the printer. The PLC will do the same as before. But this is maybe a question for the honeywell forum?! regards sancruz

Your PLC cfg is only connection structure to existed partner and PLC expect due this cfg that IP existed with Port number also. Documentation to printer is mandatory.
