meshmesh Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	i capture a backup from touchpanel TP 270 using pro-safe with extention .psb but when I going to take a backup from application using protool but i fail to get backup from existing application to do some modifications. so i'd like to convert psb file to pdb file . is it applicable or not?

Hi meshmesh, It is not possible to open the .psb to .pdb, for this you required the Protool Backup. with help of Prosave you will just take the backup of the OP/TP Device.

Ayman Elotaify Platinum Member Joined: 5/28/2008 Last visit: 11/6/2024 Posts: 4516 Rating: (839)	Hello meshmesh, Prosave software is a tool for backup of HMI devices wheather it was developed by protool pro or WinCC flex. Only backup and restore can be achieved by this software tool. If you capture a back up file from a certain OP, you can restore it to another identical OP. No modifications is allowed. Thus because you can only take an image, you are never upload the CS file to modify. If you want to modify something in the OP, you have to have the configuration file. In your case, I recommend that you try to get the configuration file specially the TP270 is phased out and I think you may need this file soon to migrate to WinCC flex. and use the up to date touch screen (TP277) in your case. Hope thatmy explanation will help you.

Hello, Just to mention Uploading only possible, if the Transfer of the current project file from the configuration computer to the operating unit must be performed using the Upload option "Enable upload".
