backup of op 7 is possible to download to op73

Have a look at the following collection of FAQs on Prrosve, the backup and restore utility for OPs: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/26342570 You will find the following quote: It is NOT possible to use an backup data file in the ProTool software because the backup configuration file is not editable. The backup file is used only to restore the backup configuration to a like panel. This means that if you backup an OP7, youcan restore the application only on an identical OP7, Hope thsi helps, Daniel Chartier

dchartier Grandmaster Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 11/4/2024 Posts: 12293 Rating: (2690)	Hello yogesht; Iam afraid that the development tool for the OP73 is WinCC Flexible, so you cannot develop screens for it using Protool. If you have a valid protool project, you could possibly migrate it to WinCC Flexible. But if you had a valid Protool program for the OP7, instead of a Prosave upload, we wouldn't be discussing this, would we? I believe the easieat course for you, and the fstest, woiul;d be to collect all available information on thre existing OP7, and recreate them for the OP73 using WinCC Flexible.
