connecting PC to OP277 HMI

stevendawn54 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	I have downoaded a working HMI program into a new OP277 6" HMI via a memory card. The existing HMI is connected to an S7 300 via profibus DP and is working ok and I am now trying to establish connection (comms) between my PC WinCCFlex program and the new HMI (on a test bench) by means of an PC Adapter MPI cable. So far no luck, I have tried to set up all the comms protocols without success. Firstly am I trying to do the impossible, can a PC talk directly to the HMI or must the S7 300 CPU be connected first? Any advice grateully received

Do you want to do a backup of the panel using WinCC FL? take a look at What transfer options are available in the various operator panels? (kind of cables are supported) and uploading only possible, if the Transfer of the current project file from the configuration computer to the operating unit must be performed using the Upload option "Enable backtransfer". If you need to use Serial communication you should configure you port and in OP you should choose the same serial port. Regards
