I can't connect to my new OP77B panel at all using either a null modem cable or a USB Host to Host cable. I'm using the driver for the USB cable that was on the WINCC cd, but everytime I try to hook up it says, "Could not establish connection, please check your settings, interfaces cables, etc!" I'm using WINCC flexible 2005 with SP1. I've tried faq's http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/23787153 http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/19142034 http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/22407522 but I still can't connect. I'm using two different projects, one ported accross from an OP7 and also the OP77B example project, neither of them connect to the device. Thanks, Luke |

Hi Nemo, I'm using an Archeon USB-USB cable, order number YC-110. It's a chinese made cable from Ebay. How do I check if the USB cable has E-Stand 05? Thanks! Luke |

Hi Nemo, Thanks for your replies, I'm still confused though. I'm using a USB Host to Host cable as is listed in the FAQ 23787153 "There are four different cables with which you can make a serial project transfer:
and I've also got a document from siemens that lists the OP77B as beingonly able to connect using a USB Host to Host cable as I have got, not the USB/PPI cable. AttachmentTransfer cables for OP77B.pdf (786 Downloads) |
