2 wire Analogue with top connect system

dvdtlf Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Is it possible to use the top connect terminal block (6ES7924-0CC10-0AA0) to power an analogue loop or not? If so, which connections are to be used to supply the 24V DC? I have searched for a datasheet and cannot find one for the block nor the front connector (6ES7921-3AG20-0AA0) that gives any details of how to power 2 wire devices. Thanks, David

Further it depends on which AI-module you are using behind your connector or terminalblock.

Thanks for the reply mopS04 Yes, I need to put power on the '2 measure wires' which I can do by using a fuse and link. I was hoping the top connect module might have the ability built in to save space and to use some of the connections available. Analogue module is6ES7331-7NF00-0AB0

See the manual how to wire that: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/8859629 page 325 As you can see in the Programmable parameters you can only configure 4-wire-transducer. The powersupply of both measuring methods(2-wire/4-wire) are with external supply and not from the card.
