Dear all,

I have 1 HMI TP177B DP, this panel only print through USB port, right now, i want to relocate the printer 50 m far from the machine and i think i can use network printer, but this panel not support Ethernet Port.

I do not have source of TP177B DP,my opinion, i will backup from TP177B DP and restore on TP177B DP/PN, i don't know this can.

And i want to connect TP177B DP/PN point to point printer that support network print, would like to guide me about this.

I would please get information from expert or the person have experience about this.Please advise for me some solution or recommend.

You may try using ProSave,

but I am afraid it will not work because proSave will recognize that Panels are different.

If you try, it will not damage the TP177B DP/PN (hopefully).

BUT if you do not have the source code, it is not possible to insert a print - function.

Do we need config some thing on printer and HMI? On HMI, we config print through USB, and printer configed same before. Do you try this before

Thanks to truly support, about print-function: On old HMI we had print button, we only need config printer properties on control panel on new HMI. I don't know it can work.

from what I read, this device extends the USB via an ethernet cable Cat.5 / 6, in other words, it's as if you have in hand a extension cord USB 50 meters long. I think that inside it will have some sort of amplifier...

Example: when we use the cable USB-RS232, Our computer need install driver for RS232 cable.

About USB-Enthernet cable. In my opinion, we need to install driver for this module.

But I think the Win CE does not recognize USB-Enthernet module. If this module request driver. I afraid of we can not use this module.

You are right, you have just a low (lowlow) chance to install thus drivers on a panel.

But for me it seems that it is a "smart" USB extension cord that do not need any drivers.

I think so too as IBN-Service, I do not think you need to install any drivers, but to be sure you may hear the producer ...
