Hello,

I had to configure and download the new software controller CPU1507S last week and had hard time figuring how to do it.

I always got the same "hardware mismatch" when I tried to download into the software PLC from my programming station.

So, I did a procedure to do it for me to remember, to give to my customer and for people on Siemens website who are looking for a simple procedure.

There is missing information in the manual of the software controller about configuring one port to be the port to download the PC configuration and the other port to be the PLC port.

I suppose there will be application example and more detailed manual in the future, so it will be easier to figure how to do it.

Just to add some information to it, by default, Windows 10 IoT on the IPC has its firewall enabled, preventing communication between the engineering station and the IPC. So don't forget to disable the firewall :)

This is a good idea for test purpose but for the end industrial application it would be nice to set the firewall correctly.

You will find more information about the port Siemens use in the STEP7 Professional manual.
