Good Afternoon all,

We have a TP1500 Comfort Panel HMI and are trying to communicate directly with a 3rd party device via Modbus RTU.

When powered up the communication is working fine and displaying the expected values, however, if the Modbus link is disturbed in anyway or the 3rd party device is power cycled the data displayed on the HMI will revert to ###### and never re-establish communications, the only way to restore communications is to power cycle the HMI.

I there away to continually look for the Modbus communication once it has been disturbed so that once restored the data is automatically re-displayed?

This is similar to our issue, however, we a communicating directly to HMI rather than via the PLC.

Which Modbus PLC or Device do you use for communication with the Comfort Panel?

Which TIA Portal Version and Panel Image Version do you use for this Project?

What happens if you use the Systemfunction "SetConnectionMode" to set the Communication connection offline and online again? does it reconnect ?
