I have been read in the comfort panels operation manual that logs data are stored to the MMC

in a frequency of approx. 0.2Hz, how this will affect the lifetime of the MMC?(as we know
 that flash memory has a limited number of write cycles).

If we consider a 100,000 write cycle for the MMC and our panel storing logs data 5 times per second

this mean the life service of the MMC will be affected strongly in just few hours or days, is that

reasonable? or I misunderstand something?

100,000 write cycles is for MMC which we use in S7 300 CPUs.

And these type of Micro Memory Cards are not suitable for comfort panels. 

Which external storage media can you use with the current SIMATIC panels and which memory card interfaces do they have?

comfort panel can accept commercial MMC cards (e.g SanDisk MMC cards) for data logs

but even those cards have a limited number of write cycles  and for 0.2Hz writing frequency

(write cycle every 5 seconds) we still have a few days or even few weeks before MMC life service

ends, my question is can I change this writing time or not because I want to archive

 data from PLC every hour and not every 5 seconds (I know that I can select the acquisition time for the data log ) but does this also change  the 0.2Hz writing frequency of the panel or its a fixed number?

I am using TIA portal v15.1 to write an HMI program for comfort panel TP1200 and I used

a circular data log with one hour logging cycle but I get confused when I read in the comfort panel

operation instruction manual that the panel stores log data in a frequency of 0.2Hz and that makes

me ask about the lifetime of the MMC card and which cycle time the panel will use.
