Hello; Just to add some information to Jacek's correct reply, have a look at the following FAQ: How do you back transfer the projects of an operator panel and what should you watch out for? https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/21907703 The "upload" of a editable HMI program from a panel has been dubbed "back transfer", and the option must be selected by the original programmer of the operator panel before any one else can use it. This comes form older versions of HMI software rom Siemens, which downloaded to the panel only the compiled version of the program, due to the high cost (at the time) of the system memory. You could only (and still can today) use ProSave to read and upload this compiled program from the HMI, and download it to a new panel of the same part number. But this was a compiled block, that you cannot open or edit. Back transfer was allowed when memory became cheaper and more abundant in the panels, allowing for the non-compiled file to be downloaded to the panel., But a non-compiled program still takes up ressources in the system memory, and the programmer must select the back transfer option voluntarily, while sacrificing some available memory inside his hMI panel. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
