I'm Having a problem trying to acquire signals from this analog module, right now I'm working on a project with this module mounted on a rack with a 317-2 PN/DP PLC, the problem that I have is that I can't get any 4-20 mA signal from this module, let me explain better the problem. I've already connected the terminals for 2 wire transducer, because i'm using a transducer in order to obtain the signal from a thermocouple, I've also configured everything on hardware configuration (Tia Portal V11) I configured the channel 0-1 in order to obtain 4-20 mA signals with group diagnostics, and specified that it must be 4 wire connection (This because custommer support told me to do so), but when I download this configuration to the PLC the module shows the follow error: Diagnostic status: Module exist. Error. Channel Fault Channel diagnostics: Analog input measuring range / low limit exceeded. The problem is that I don't have anything connected to this channel, and it shows that error mesage on every channel that I set the diagnostic channel interrupt. Can you help me with this?? Thanks and regards.

Hello, Normally, transducer is 2 wire connection (Loop power ) and in that case please check your Module Jumper (i think D mode) in hardware and in software module configuration you have to select 2DMU for this. If this is still in testing phase, then disable Channel Diagnostics and Test it out. please check attach for 2 wire and 4 wire connection. Attachment 6ES7331-7NF10-0AB0.pdf (511 Downloads)

Hi, if you connected 2 wire transducer means you have to select in HW configuration also 2 wire. select the type of thermocouple from the list. and check the wire connection as per manual. If connect properly the error will go

Thanks and regards. Please first Bypass assigned Channel diagnostic then see what happen . if you have set diagnostic and any channel is not connected then also it will give error VP VP

Ayzetina Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hi, sorry but the file that you sent me was for 331-7NF00-0AB0 and I have 7NF10-0AB0, and another point I've already made all the correct connections for this module, and it still won't work. As I told you I'm using a 331-7NF10-0AB0 module, and this one do not use the side configuration option, So the only way to do so is on the Hardware Confogurator. I've already try to disable the unused channels, but once again even when I'm not connectign anything it wont get any signal, also when I connect the 4-20 mA signal it still wont read the value from this module. I also try with the High limit and low limit set option, but once again when I connect the signal I have no way to read it. Thanks for all those who answer, but is there something else to do that I haven't tried?? Note: I've already tried to read this signals also with Step 7.
