Hello PILearner, Attached please find measuring setups for open and closed vessels taken from our catalog.Depending on the application you can use pressure or differential pressure transmitters. Advantage level measurement using a pressure transmitter:The level measurement with a pressure transmitter is more inexpensive. Advantage other methods:Some solutions will not be in touch with the medium. The density does not matter. The temperature does not matter. These are only some points. The right solution must be chosen according to the application. AttachmentD:\Siemens\Katalog\Katalog_alt\2014\FI01_en_kap01 measuring setups.pdf (238 Downloads) |

You need what is known as a remote seal. A remote seal attachs to the transmitter with a capillary tube. The attachment is the catalog pages for remote seals. The remote seal will have the 3 inch diaphragm.
