Hi

1. Memory can be addressed as Bit (i.e. Mx.y), Byte (MBx), Word (MWx) and Double Word (MDx)

2. Address covers x number of bits. Let's say we address 10:

- for Bit M10.0 points to bit M10.0 only

- for Byte MB10 points to M10.0 to M10.7 (data types: Byte and Char)

- for Word MW10 points to M10.0 to M11.7 (data types: Int, Word, S5Time)

- for DWord MD10 points to M10.0 to M13.7 (data types: dWord, DInt, Time, Real)

Memory areas do not overlap

i.e. LW10 (Local Temp Variables) does not overlap with MW10 and IW/QW10.

EXCEPTION: PIx/PQx within Process Image Area overlap with Ix/Qx:

Process Image is read/written by the CPU to/from physial in/outs

which are addressed directly (if accessing something above process image or anags)

by PIx/PQx [where x = B, W, D for Byte/Word/DWord access]
