timmermans Posts: 66 Rating: (0)	Hello, I am going to use a TP 177micro panel. This panel is connected true a profibus cable to my 224 cpu. Not using theEM227 But can I connect a remote I/O device at this same cable, or doI have to use the EM227 Thanks Timmermans

So this may be port 0 or perhaps port 1. You can use a profibus cable to connect panel and CPU, but this doesn't mean it's a Profibus connection. I think the connection is PPI or MPI, both are RS485, so you can use a Profibus cable. When you want to use remote I/O, you'll have to consider the following: The S7-200 cpu's can not act as a master on a profibus network. So there should be a another profibus master. When you want to connect a S7-200 to profibus you'll need an EM277. Hope this will help. Best regards, Wizard

Using two CPU's example: CPU 222 , CPU 224 and a TP177micro connected to each other by a profibus (works like MPI)cable in a token (ring) Is is possible to communicate between the two CPU's and the touchpannel. thanks Timmermans

timmermans Posts: 66 Rating: (0)	Hello everybody Yesterdag I set up a communication between a CPU224 (adres2)and a CPU222 (adres3). The inputs of the CPU222 are send to the the CPU224 working with NETW/NETR Works prefect! The communicate over a profibus cable. On that cable I also connected a TP177micropanel is connected. see also drawing Problem: I cannot connected to my TP177micropanel over the Profi cable. You can't programm the panel? timmermans Posts: 66 Rating: (0)	Hello wizard I can not connected (find) the pannel when I use wincc and the connection is made the same as like the pictureI included. When I only connected the rs232 cable to the panel, I can connected. And upload my wincc design. I haven't tested the communication between de CPU224 and the TP177. (I think it works whit VW.... tags?) I wan't to program the TP177 whit wincc whitout changing the cables like in the picture I attached thanks Timmermans Attachment best.JPG (680 Downloads)

timmermans Posts: 66 Rating: (0)	DIP switch 2 and 5 set to 1 When you set dip switch 5 to 1 , the kbaud doesn't mather I think. When I am in Step7 microwin v4.0 SP4the PC finds two CPU's (adres 2 CPU224 and 3 CPU222 both are configured whit 19.2K/baud speed) But when I open wincc i can't connect to the Tp177 micro thanks Timmermans Attachment best.JPG (609 Downloads)

timmermans Posts: 66 Rating: (0)	Hello YesterdagI asked something on the TP177 micropanel Didn't work setting the dipswitch 5 to 0 because the dipswitch has to be on to communicated whit the two CPU's When I only connected the TP177 it do work (whitout profibus) What are the settings in WINCC micro: * cable (MPI, DP, PPI) * only master on bus * thanks

When it doesn't work, I would recomment to ask the Support line. Perhaps it isn't possible to download panel by network. Perhaps someone else has another solution? Best regards, Wizard
