Hello Goodas, I need more information about your application like the setpoint, settings of the PID controller, ... So, the best way is to send to me: - a Siwatool-file - a trace during the problem is present. You can see into the attached file how to create a Siwatool file and how to do a trace. I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards Siwarexi AttachmentFTC_L.zip (177 Downloads) |

Hi Siwarexi, I have attached the files. Since the first post I have changed PID parameters(DR12) mode change to volumetric and unticked the flow rate min and max selection. Goodas. AttachmentBundlerDustGoodCopy280110.zip (147 Downloads) |

Hello Goodas, I took a look into your Siwatool- and Excel-files: Well, I found out, that your FTC module is switching continuously between the vol. and grav. mode. You can see that into the Excel-sheet into the columns “N” and “U”, during the flow is stabile (column “BF”). Your FTC module is switching to vol. mode, because you have activated into Siwatool the mode change from grav. to vol. into the DR12, index card “Mode change > vol.”. Please deactivate these two mode changes and send the DR12 back to the Siwarex FTC module with the button “Send”. This avoid the switching back from grav. to vol. mode. So the PID controller has more time to control the flow: Into the Excel-sheet you can see, that the PID controller try to increase the flow into the column “CA” by the Trace-IDs 5 ... 9 and 15 ... 19 during the grav. mode. But there is a switching back to vol. mode, because you activated the mode change from grav. to vol. into the DR12, index card “Mode change > vol.”, so the PID-controller has not the chance to control the flow. Also your device parameters (=DR11) are not correct. In the DR11, you have the parameters: 20% Actual out => Flow rate = 100 60% Actual out => Flow rate = 300 That means, that 40 % Actual out => Flow rate = 200 But if you take a look into your Excel-sheet, column “CA”, you can see that, if the Actual out is 40% (=4000) in vol. mode, you have only a flow of 160.38 (=column “BU” of your Excel-sheet). That means, that 40 % Actual out is not a Flow rate of 200, but 160.38. So, your device parameters (=DR11) are not correct! I recommend to you, to determinate the device parameters once again. How to do that, you can see into the Quick Guide, chapter 2.7, into the internet: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/39205990 Also the chapter 2.6 is informative for you regarding the preparation of the determinate the device parameters! Well, I know, you got now a lot of information. Please deactive the two mode changes into the DR12, and determinate the device parameters once again. Afterwards, the Siwarex FTC module can control the flow much better. If you have further questions, please create a new post. I hope, I could help you. Best regards Siwarexi |
