Howzit Marinus. I am going to make an educated guess and say what you are seeing there is the creation of a pointer address. Have a look at documentation about "pointer" and "any pointer" to gain more insight into the matter. It is important that you notice how many bits are shifted. That count makes "room" for the bit address (from 0 to 7). Mention the count of bit being shifted, if you require some volunteer here to further the discussion.
