Hi Experts,

I have a problem connecting a 1515F-2PN PLC to an Engel moulding machine using OPC_UA

I can use the online access to view and select the tags in the moulding machine ,but when I try to connect using the OPC_UA_Connect block it returns and error with a status of 16#80B7_0000. See attached.

According to "Error Codes of the OPC Foundation" 80B7_0000 is "BadMaxConnectionsReached".

From what I can understand the processor is limited to a maximum of 10 OPC connections. It is currently talking to 3 robots an Ultrasonic welder and intelligent press which should leave 5 spare connections for the moulding machine. 

How can I tell how may connection I have in use?

Or am I barking up the wrong tree and this error is caused by something else ?

OK then the comm ressources are not the point here.

Does the PLC also acts as OPC UA Server?

Do you see any noticable information to the OPC Communciation in the diagnosic buffer of the PLC?
