PN/PN Coupler and other devices

Ppamu Joined: 6/24/2024 Last visit: 10/24/2024 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	1) I have a plc program for an industrial oven, i have a PN/PN Coupler connected so that from one side the plc profinet is configured and we deliberately leave the other side open of the coupler for the customer to maybe integrate another network in future. But currently i am not able to run the siemens program and states, i have error in the configuration of the other port of the PN/PN Coupler. 2) Also i have other devices that are programmed in the plc program but in the current project we dont need some devices and dont want to remove them from the network but keep them as it is and run the plc program. I am relatively new to profinet interface and need help on how can i solve this issue. Attachment PN coupler issue.png (218 Downloads)

This does not work and a open network on the other side will lead to this error. A fully functional and running PROFINET on both sides is mandatory for the coupler, its also mentioned in the manual. SIMATIC Bus links PN/PN coupler You have completely configured and connected the PN/PN Coupler as described in sectionsAssemblingandConnecting. You have completely set up both PROFINET IO subnets. PROFINET IO is ready for operation. You have configured the PN/PN Coupler. You have assigned the PN/PN Coupler parameters. So what you can do: You can deactivate the coupler via D_ACT_DP instruction via user program. How do you enable and disable DP slaves and IO devices using the "D_ACT_DP" instruction? regards sancruz
