The logfile shows that you have not configured the target path correctly. I can see you used an IP address instead of the computername in your target OS assignment. I'm not familiar by using IP addresses.. So, please fill in the computername instead of the IP address and try again.

If not, please restart ES and OS and try again.

Please see below an extensive list of solutions that may cause your problem. You should check them:

Problem:

• In PCS 7 V7.1 and PCS 7 V8.x it could happen that you try to download a OS project and get following message:
  „No or invalid Project context, ASO cannot work correct“
  After the message the downloading is aborted.
  
  It doesn’t matter if you use WinXP / Win Server 2003 or Win7 / Win Server 2008.
  The message usually means that it wasn't possible to access the Data Source Name (DSN) which points to the project database over the network.
  When a project is opened a share is created. This share is used to open the project.
  Even when the project is stored on a local disk, this mechanism is used.
  This means that the project is opened by means of the network card.
  
• Or your are just in gerneral not able to make a download, activate the project, or there are some other issues around the OS downloading / activation process.

To solve the problem you should check following points in sequence:

• Did you work with Remote Desktop Connection (RDP)?
• Is the network cable connected?
• Try to reboot the affected station!
• Can you see the affected stations in the Simatic Shell (to refresh the view right click on "Simatic Shell > Update")?
• Are the IP addresses correct (same network, same subnet)?
• Check if the affected stations are member of the correct Workgroup or Domain!
• In Simatic Shell: Right click on „Simatic Shell > Properties“:

• Is the network adapter of the terminal bus on the first position?

• You can find this information in the manual "PC Configuration and Authorization" of your PCS 7 version.

• WinXP:
  „Control Panel > Network Connections > Menu bar > Advanced > Advanced Settings...“
• Win7:
  „Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings“ Now click on „Organize > Layout > Menu bar“!
  Now click in the Menu bar on „Advanced > Advanced Settings...“!

• You can log on with different accounts, but those accounts have also to be present on the target system
• Never change an existing windows user name.
  If you need to change a windows user name, delete the old user and create a new one with the correct name!
