Use RS485 Repeater as PROFIBUS DP terminal resistor

debon Posts: 28 Rating: (1)	Dear all, Is it possible to use a RS485 Repeater (6ES7 972-0AA01-0XA0) as PROFIBUS DP terminal resistor?[:P] And how to set it (for the Terminating resistor for bus segment 1,Terminating resistor for bus segment 2, and OFF switch)? Thanks!

debon Posts: 28 Rating: (1)	Wizard, Thanks for your so quick reply! If I don't use segment 2 part, only connect DP line to segment 1 (A1 B1). Is it ok I set as follows: Terminating resistor for bus segment 1: ON Switch for OFF state: OFF please see the attachment. Attachment Repeater.GIF (1023 Downloads)
