RS232 cable. 2 - use a CP5611 on PC and a PB-S7 softnet. You can use OPC interface between the driver and the OPC. Profibus cable. 3 - use a CP5611 on PC and PRODAVE. You can acess directly the PRDAVE DLL with VB. Profibus cable. 4 - use aEthernet cablewitha IE-S7 softnet on PC. The CPU has to have a PN interface or you will need a CP343-1. You can use OPC interface between the driver and the OPC. Profibus cable.
