Is this valid for domain and workgroups ? Eric

So please check the log-files first to see if there's any info created for your communication protocol.

Hi aikona, That’s right. Two machines with identical SID’s cannot be on the network even though the IP addresses and computer names are different! Regards

In One pc hard disk is crashed due to power problem . I have installed fresh OS,and WinCC Ver6.2 and the backup but WinCC is not connecting to PLC. I have also Checked the PG-PC Setting,whicht is correct. I am also able ping the CP343-1. What is Problem, Can any one help me out of this problem. Hi, Please find attached link where I have explained in detail how to create the connection with S7 400 H and WinCC as "named connection". Please see if you have made it correctly. As I can read through that you are not using CP 1613 / 1623 its abosolutely impossible to achived red. connection for H CPU with WinCC. Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	Hi lalu, You have not answered my earlier questions? How can you ping CP443-1?? I think you did not describe the problem clearly (or correctly). Normally STEP7 is not installed on WinCC servers and by installing this why your problem got solved is difficult to say. My guess is the security settings got corrected after the install. Regards

Probably on the failing server, you didn't had SIMATIC NET PC installed, needed for S7 protocol suite communication. By installing STEP7, you sort of fixed this. Reinstalling WinCC with SIMATIC NET PC would have solved this too. Glad that the problem is solved now. Anyway, I would also suggest to take a full image of the working servers now (I usually use Acronis True Image).
