Dear lalu, did you check the log-files on the server which won't communicate? for example: C:\Program Files\Siemens\WinCC\diagnose\SIMATIC_S7_PROTOCOL_SUITE_01.LOG
2011-06-14 09:28:24,943 INFO Log starting ... 2011-06-14 09:28:24,943 INFO | LogFileName : C:\Program Files\Siemens\WinCC\Diagnose\SIMATIC_S7_PROTOCOL_SUITE_01.LOG 2011-06-14 09:28:24,943 INFO | LogFileCount : 3 2011-06-14 09:28:24,943 INFO | LogFileSize : 1400000 2011-06-14 09:28:24,943 INFO | TraceFlags : f8000000 2011-06-14 09:28:24,943 INFO S7 channel DLL started! 2011-06-14 09:28:24,943 INFO S7 channel with own cycle creation! 2011-06-14 09:28:26,552 INFO S7DOS release: @(#)TIS-Block Library DLL Version R8.1.5.0-REL-BASIS 2011-06-14 09:28:26,552 INFO S7DOS version: V8.1 / 5 2011-06-14 09:28:26,552 INFO S7CHN version: V6.0 / Dec 5 2010 / 15:00:39 2011-06-14 09:28:26,552 INFO S7 channel unit "TCP/IP" activated! 2011-06-14 09:28:29,568 ERROR Cannot connect to "PLC": Errorcode 0xFFDF 4110! 2011-06-14 09:28:29,630 ERROR Cannot connect to "FM485-1DP": Errorcode 0xFFDF 4110! 2011-06-14 10:36:37,652 INFO S7 channel unit "TCP/IP" deactivated! 2011-06-14 10:36:37,902 INFO S7 channel DLL terminated!
something like this might give a clue, description about the error(s) can be found here: C:\Program Files\Siemens\WinCC\bin\S7CHNERRORENU.HLP If you have the error code like in this example, most likely SIMATIC NET PC software isn't installed or something went wrong. So please check the log-files first to see if there's any info created for your communication protocol. |

I think it might be like I said in my previous reply. Probably on the failing server, you didn't had SIMATIC NET PC installed, needed for S7 protocol suite communication. By installing STEP7, you sort of fixed this. Reinstalling WinCC with SIMATIC NET PC would have solved this too. Glad that the problem is solved now. Anyway, I would also suggest to take a full image of the working servers now (I usually use Acronis True Image). |
