HelloJosip, What is your HMI? PC or panel? Develpped byWinCC or Protool/WinCC Flexible/TIA WinCC? You won't find an example because this solution(configuration) is not valid. The CP343-1 can't be operated in an ET200M rack. It has to be there in CPU's rack. So, you need two CP343 (i.e. one for each CPU). Alternatively, you can use MPI port (Slower communication with HMI) but again it depends on your HMI. Best regards, H-H

HelloJosip,
You should get an Ethernet switch and connect the 2CPs and the HMI to this switch.
Now, you have to evaluate which PLC is the master. You can evaluate which CPU is the master usingDBW 8 of the instance DB for FB 101 'SWR_ZYK' (More information on that word will be found in themanual). Now you should create a power tag Once you know which CPU is the master you can use the data to change a tag value in the HMI in order to change connection from Master CPU IP address to Slave CPU IP address. Use exactly the same steps in, You can aslo find more discussions on this subject if you use keywords like software redundancy+ HMI+ WinCC flexible. Best regards, H-H

HelloJosip,
I don't know how many data blocks you are synchronizing and how many power tags you are using. These parameters will affect your system performance. You can't judge until you try it yourself. However, I do prefer to keep the redundant link as it is if it's working fine and use the 2 CP343 for HMI communication.
What's your panel? I believe it has Ethernet port since you already have CP343. OP7 and OP17 are dead now and I guess you have a better panel in your hand (With Ethernet port). I know Protool supported change connection system function (I made it on PC) but I don't know if OP7 or OP17 would support change connection based on tag limits. Best regards, H-H |
