Hello alsofi; There are various ways of doing this, for example this WhitePaper from Oracle describes how interface software such as OPC is used to connect an Oracle OPC client to a PLC/PAC OPC server: Real – Time Asset Management & Sensor Enabling Siemns offers Simatic Net OPC client and server profiles along with their protocol offerings, such as TCP/IP. Matrikon, Kepware, Top Server and others also offer OPC connectivity with Siemens PLCs. Some of these even offer special versions of their OPC driversintegrating database connectivity through OPC (including Oracle) for S7 PLC: Siemens OPC Server Suite - KEPServerEX OPC Servers plc - S7 200/1200 to oracle database data transfer Another way provided by Siemens is a dedicated Ethernet CP specialy designed to communicate with databases and ERPsoftware such as Oracle: the CP 343-1 ERPC. See the following information available on this product. 6GK7343-1FX00-0XE0 COMMUNICATIONS PROCESSOR CP343-1 ERPC S7CPs for Industrial Ethernet CP 343-1 ERPC Manual Manual Part B Interfacing a CP 343-1 ERPC with MES/ERP Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
