Hi jerome, i guess jklm gave you the answer you were looking for. there is no priority between the ntp servers. perhaps read a bit about the functionality of NTP time synchronisation? Perhaps you find some informations at the overview (or just use wikipedia... etc.): http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/86535497 So: you do not have to add four addresses. And I think the PLC will start with the first address, but this does not mean it will stay there. As already said: "the CPU sends time-of-day queries at regular intervals (in the client mode) to the NTP server in the subnet" And the CPU will select the most accurate and precise of the NTP server (it will calculate the one. this is possible because of the functionality of NTP). |
