Hi all, Can I mix AS-i slaves (Standard, A/B, A/B(3.0)) on the same network? I need less than 31 slaves. Thank you, Adam |

Hello Adam; The screenshot below is extracted from this document, and answers your questioon directly: https://cdn.logic-control.com/docs/26/Network%20and%20Interfaces/B3407_AS-Interface_System_Guide.pdf "Single slaves, either v2.0 or v2.1/3.0, and A/B slaves can be mixed as long as the master is at least v2.1 compliant." Other manufacturers supply similar language: https://www.ifm.com/mounting/7390566UK.pdf "A mixed connection of single slaves and A/B slaves to the same master is possible" https://www.festo.com/net/SupportPortal/Files/44047/AS_Interface_en.pdf "Benefits of AS-interface Specification V3.0 • Slaves as per Specifications V2.0 and V2.1 will also run under V3.0 – the system is fully backward compatible." Simply make sure your master is using the latest As-i standard to make the backwards compatibility as encompassing as your highest version of slave. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
