Hello, I have 2 PLC S7-300, exactly 315-2DP with CP343-1 Lean. I want to transfer some data between them over profinet. According to THIS DOCUMENT the only possibility is to use AG_SEND/AG_RECV. What is more I should have both PLC in the same project. Merging two projects is rather not an option as projects are quite big and it's organized in this particular way. Can I just configure PUT/GET communication and choose option as partner is "Unspecified"? Will it be working? Unfortunately I don't have hardware to play it on my own and test it so I need a solution before downloading project. |

Hello aha; If you look at the following document, you will see in the properties of the PUT/GET communication blocks that they use a client/server configuration. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/26483647
But the CP 343-1 Lean can only act as server on a S7 Protocol link (see the screenshot below). You are missing a client on your network. The CPU-CPU communication manual is a very well produced tool, you can trust its contents. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
