Have you deveopled logic? no i'm researching some problems related to some accessories Which I/Os are connected to IM modules? some limitswicthes and some relaies . Which Step 7 you have? V5.6+SP2 with SINUMERIK Add-on Which intefrace/hardware you have to connected NCU? I connect with MPI Thanks

But before concluding that, please check if Siemens make touch panels are used in this machine? Is this retrofitted machine? In retrofitting, many cases I/Os are selected depending upon present connected I/Os. But in latest technology, built in safety or other technics which does not require additional I/Os. In your case safety integrated Modules are connected but does not seem to be configured. I guess it is because CPU 317 is safety integrated CPU which might have supported basic safety featuers. Hope this helps.
