The old laptop connected just fine. This new one at first found the logo when i refreshed but could not connect to it when I tried to upload/download. Now it can't even find it when I refresh.

I totally understand your situation.

But unfortunately it can't be change.

But what I don't understand:
If a program on the LOGO! is running, someone has tansfer the program to the LOGO! and therefore  this person have LSC V8.3.x.

I connected the old laptop to this specific logo8 and programmed it just fine. The old laptop died and my new one does not connect. I have not upgraded soft comfort on the old laptop. It had the same 8.2.1 that I now installed on this new laptop. Same DVD.

With this LOGO! 8.3 or with other (older) LOGO!s?

The PC (Laptop) can only connect to a LOGO! 8.3 if it's installed LSC V8.3.x.

This is a fact. 

Why would I lie about such a thing? I just found out about the V8.3  uppgrade. My old laptop had a lan- port, the only thing different from this new one. I programmed this specific logo with soft comfort 8.2.1. I have not nor have I ever had a different laptop or version of soft comfort. THAT's a fact.

And I can only say that with LSC V8.2.1 you cannot communicate with a LOGO! 8.3 (6ED1052-1MD08-0BA1).

You can find enough topics here in the forum where users write that they could not establish communication with a LOGO 8.3 because they have the wrong software version.

If you don't believe me, you can start a Support Request.

Then you will get a statement from Siemens directly.
