BRenouf Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	We have an existing Siemens Fujitsu desktop PC that is used for the RT file at site and the alarm works fine on it. We have accessed a spare identical PC to use but the alarm doesn't sound when we put it into service and everything else is fine???. Where are the sounds files normally kept? I assume they are WAV files but I can't see from the script as to what WAV file is being called up or where it is stored. Attached is a copy of the script for sounding an alarm. It seems that it should be so simple but I guess when it is not there or not set up exactly the same, there can be issues. Some frustrating!!!!!! Attachment Alarm Sound Script.pdf (822 Downloads)

The question is regarding the set up someone has used with muzika.muzikaklasa This is the method (see attached screen print of scipt for sounding an alarm) used now and we need to duplicate this on the spare computer. We do not wish to edit the existing project to a new method of having a WAV file sound an alarm. It should not be that hard to work out?? The computer is on site right now and I only have acees to check things out when out there which will not happen till another week. You need to put the dll in the Windows\System directory, and register it with : regsvr32 c:\windows\system\musicdll.dll Next, you have 3 methods in dll to call from your runtime script, like: script 1. play alarm sound Dim fs Set fs = CreateObject("muzika.muzikaKlasa") fs.SvirajHavarijski() 'to play sound for Alarm script 2.play warning sound Dim fs Set fs = CreateObject("muzika.muzikaKlasa") fs.SvirajAlarm() 'to play sound for warning script 3. stop sound Dim fs Set fs = CreateObject("muzika.muzikaKlasa") fs.Zaustavi() 'to STOP sound Of course, the sound files must be regular WAV files (not MP3 or...), and MUST be in location/file: c:\alarmwavs\alarm.wav --for warning sound c:\alarmwavs\havarijski.wav --for ALARM sound Cheers Mike good its helpful..

The last paragraph of the "muzika.muzikaklasa" (whatever in the heck that is seems to elude all the repsonders. Of course, the sound files must be regular WAV files (not MP3 or...), and MUST be in location/file: c:\alarmwavs\alarm.wav --for warning sound c:\alarmwavs\havarijski.wav --for ALARM sound So where does one get these WAV files from?????? Again it is a setup in a WinCC PC that was done 6 years ago adn we need to get the sound working on a duplicate PC using the RT project file and not create a new one. It seems impossible to get someone to answer the question of what they are and where do you get them from????

However, I was in particular referring back to the muzika.muzikaklase solution. In oure case we have had this installed and using WinCC flex 2005 and it worked flawlessly and happily with sound effect that was desired. The computer running the Win Runtime has failed and consequently we can't get at the original files. We have reinstalled the muzika.muzikaklassa in a new computer but cannot find the alarm wav files that were originally applied. Is it possible to get these sounds again, Wav files, again as originally suppliled some years ago? Thanks in advance for this.

Mike001 Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Thanks for your reply earlier, and what you suggested also works, but to keep things the same to what we had, which was having the muzikadll.dll installed with alarm, warningsound, we were wondering where we canfind the alarm wav files that must of come with it when we originally installed it. It had performed flawlessly until the Computer died on us. and we have been trying to recreate what was there. Note though that when we originally installed the runtime program we did this with WinCC 2005 flexrather then our present winCC 2008 Flexprogram Files. It seems that WinCC 2008 does change some of the 2005WinCC program when it converts it to the newer level. Mike

Anyway, we have found the files alarm, warning etc and have everything functioning again. Thank-you very much for your advice, it helped make life a little bit easier. I was wondering, and this may not be the correct place to ask this, but when we took the files that originally operated the muzikadll.dll we did not initially realize that we were examing the 2005 winCC flex with a 2008 winCC flex version. When we opened the winCC files and edited the WinCC screens and saved it again we noted that when we tried to create a new runtime file other parts of what had been configured had become corrupted. Ie bit selection had been changed to integer or binary in the appearance properties of text elements. Also the original colors that had been selected were changed. It happened in two of PC/screen arrangement runtimefiles that we were using. Do you have any comments about this, or are there any known bugs within the conversion that could account for this?
