We are having an Analog input card SM 331, isolated, 8 AI with part number 6ES7331-7KF02-0AB0. As per design requirement we will interface the said Analog input card with another PLC Analog output card, electrically wired. So before interfacing, we need to ensure that operation mode/measurement type of both signal modules i.e., AI & AO card are same at each channel.

As per our understanding, we found that from index 12.0 to 15.0(Ref. above snippet) is the setting for operation mode/measurement type of all 8 channels of this signal module. And from index 16 to 22(Ref. Ref. above snippet) are PLC count range limits for all 8 channels which are divided in 2 groups of 4.

Query: - Please help us to get assurance on our understanding. Our motive is to only configure all 8 analog input channels in operation mode/measurement type to Current(4 – 20mA) with PLC count range from(0 – 32767) respectively.
