I'm trying to write a script that will command a virtual point from a Button.

Following the description in DCP Engineering manual chapter 8.5 I'm close, but I'd like to be able to insert the value from the "writeVal" tag in the button object to be written to the virtual point.

Does anyone how to write this into the baPointCommand() part?

Code from manual is:

finstack.eval('read(baUniqueId =="3847e44de9331bb8e7526e98b4d3cf15be67be87")->pointRef.baPointCommand(44)');

and instead of writing 44 I would like to write the value from "writeVal" tag.

I can't really understeand the part about virtual point, is it a point from a controller?

This way also works. It's not exactly what I was looking for, but it is good enough.

A virtual point is created on the graphic page when I drag and drop a data point into it, as mentioned in paragraph 25 in the pdf. It makes the connection to the data point in the controller.
